A Wonderful Gift  !!!!

After appearing in various newspapers and magazines regarding Bakelite during 2003 ...... a very kind lady from the Norfolk area made me a gift of this wonderful Bakelite table from an early 1950's Ideal Home Exhibition !!! This generous lady does not wish to be named, but I must say it was so kind of her to make this donation to my collection .. many many thanks from an appreciative collector !!
 
Made of solid sturdy mottled bakelite with stylish chrome legs, this superb table is in daily usage in my lounge !!

I particularly like the design of this table, the combination of pattern, mottled bakelite and chrome in my opinion makes this superb piece of furniture still look
futuristic over 50 years later in 2004 !!!
